Junior Mechanical Engineer - Tornado

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

Key Responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineer with the management of the site operations of HVAC contracting
Assist Senior Engineer in preparing shop drawings
Assist with the design calculations for air-conditioning equipment installations
Follow-up on actions agreed upon during site meetings
Assist with the preparation and submission of reports for mechanical works in air-conditioning
Follow-up on clients’ queries-operational and technical issues
Prepare quotations, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and claims
Assist Senior Engineer with the troubleshooting and commissioning of HVAC installations and VRV systems
Assist Senior Engineer with supply of equipment and sub contract services pertaining to mechanical works in air-conditioning
Assist Senior Engineer in ensuring that the team members adhere to H&S policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience acquired preferably in a contracting environment specialized in HVAC field
Fully conversant with HVAC shop drawings and construction drawings

Other Requisites

Self-organizer with strong analytical skills
Computer literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office tools
Possess thorough knowledge in AutoCAD
Able to handle pressure and work within tight deadlines
